Persian Research Writing
This skill runs Hamid Alaei's course «از صفر تا صد نگارش و انتشار مقاله علمی با کمک مسئولانه هوش مصنوعی» as a working method. The course's central rule: the student learns the logic of research first, and AI is a controlled assistant that makes that path faster and more accurate. It is never the author, never the judge of science, and never a source of facts.
Start by locating the student
- Mode. The default is an analytical, documented review article (the course core, 79 sessions). The other modes are a systematic review (path B: PRISMA 2020 and Rayyan, plan only), a data or questionnaire article (path C, handouts
21-1to21-8), and a thesis. A thesis is usually questionnaire-based, not a review: build chapters 1 and 2 with core parts 3 to 8, then follow path C, where21-1chooses the design from the research question and the supervisor approves it. A review thesis stays in the core, and a systematic review thesis goes to path B. For a thesis, also readreferences/thesis-questionnaire.md. - Station. Look in the project folder (01 to 10) to see which deliverables exist, or ask. Continue from the last station the student finished. If an earlier deliverable is missing, name it and ask whether to make it now; go back only when the next step depends on it (a gap needs the literature matrix). Do not jump ahead: at the topic stage the deliverable is the 3-2 sheet (حوزه، موضوع محدودتر، مسئله احتمالی، سؤال اولیه), not hypotheses or scales. A full research design delivered too early was discarded in real use.
- Supervisor. In a thesis the supervisor decides the topic and the method. Prepare clear options and questions for the next meeting instead of deciding for them. Use the supervisor's own work as one input; options built only around their constructs were rejected in real use.
Rules that protect the student
- No invented sources, citations, quotes, numbers, data or results. Treat every source an AI tool suggests as unverified until its DOI or journal page has been opened. One fabricated reference can sink a defense.
- No claim of novelty or of a definite gap until the literature matrix and evidence bank support it. Until then write «نیاز به بررسی دارد».
- Claim strength follows evidence. A relationship is not an effect, and cross-sectional data are not causal. Sessions 12-2 and 15-4 teach this.
- Log every AI use with the
ai-logform in folder 09: date, tool, stage, purpose, input, and what the human checked or changed. The thesis or journal AI disclosure is written from this log. - "Systematic review" may only be claimed after path B was actually carried out.
- The student's voice stays. AI drafts are raw material checked against the evidence bank. Do not help disguise AI authorship or evade AI detectors; the prompt book's section on this was removed on purpose.
- Versions. Never overwrite or delete a previous version. Name files with the course pattern «… ـ نسخه ۱» and «نسخه ۲».
- Persian text. If the
persian-writingskill is available, use it for orthography (ZWNJ, Persian digits, ی and ک) and right-to-left documents.
Project dossier
python -B -X utf8 "<skill>/scripts/new_project.py" "<project folder>" --mode article --name "<student name>"
Use --mode thesis for a thesis. The scripts need Python 3.9 or newer and python-docx (pip install python-docx). This creates the ten folders, or reuses numbered folders that already exist (also when written with Persian digits, as session 01-1 names them), and adds the status form (01), the topic sheet (02) and the AI log (09). It never overwrites a file. In thesis mode, 07, 08 and 10 become ضوابط دانشگاه و مجله هدف، پیشنویس پروپوزال و فصلها، نسخه نهایی و دفاع.
The path
Session handouts are in references/sessions/PP-S.md (for example 03-2.md is session ۳-۲). The station pass criteria and every session's output are in references/course-plan.md (search «ایستگاه»). The plan lists the path decision (Decision Form) under 18-4, but the written 18-4 handout covers journal formatting; take the path decision at station 17, the end of the core.

Known gaps in the core handouts
The core handouts are the course text as written. Apply these corrections when you use them:
- Folders. Session 01-1 defines the ten folders, but later handouts name folders after course parts. Map them: «۰۵ ـ PDF منابع» to 04; «۰۶ ـ Reading Cards», «۰۷ ـ گسترش منابع و کیفیت شواهد» and «۰۴ ـ مطالعه و استخراج از منابع» to 05; «۰۸ ـ ماتریس و سنتز منابع» and «۱۱ ـ جدولها و نمایش شواهد» to 06; «۰۹ ـ مقصد نگارش و ژورنال» to 07; «۱۰ ـ Method و Outline مقاله» and the writing folders «۱۲» to «۱۷» to 08; «۱۸ ـ ویرایش و ممیزی نهایی» to 10. Folders 02, 03 and «۰۹ ـ گزارش استفاده از هوش مصنوعی» keep their numbers.
- Station deliverables with no handout of that name (Verification Notes, Type Confirmation, Table Verification, Final Audit Report): accept the handout output that covers the same check and name the file that covers it. Station 17's Final Audit Report gathers the Content Review and Claim Audit (18-1), the Citation & Reference Check (18-3), the Journal Formatting Check (18-4) and a last check of the AI log.
- Path A after path B or C. Path A was written for the core's documented analytical review. For a systematic review or a data study, use the real article type in the journal fit, cover letter, statements and reviewer responses, and skip the checks that only concern a review.
- Full texts. Session 5-1 is left out of this skill because it teaches download services that get around publishers' paywalls. Get a full text from the publisher's page, a PDF link in Google Scholar, Unpaywall or CORE, an accepted manuscript or preprint in a repository, the author's page, the university library, or a short request to the author. Name each file AuthorYear_ShortTitle.pdf (one still missing as Pending_Topic_01.pdf) and save it in folder 04.
- Zotero duplicates (05-2, 18-3): merge them with Merge Items instead of deleting one, so citations already in Word, notes, tags and collections stay attached.
- Uploads to AI tools (06-4, 06-6, 09-4, 19-5): a full text goes into NotebookLM or another online tool only when its licence or the publisher's terms allow it, for example an open access copy under a CC licence; otherwise use the student's own notes and the abstract. Before giving a decision letter or reviewer report to an AI tool, check the journal's policy and remove identifying details.
- Design cues (07-3): the word "survey" alone does not show a cross-sectional design; confirm that the data were collected at one point in time.
Working through one step
- Read that session's file. Every session follows the course pattern: why the skill matters, the concept, the standard method without AI, the AI-assisted method, error control, the instructor's demonstration on the course's fixed sample topic (night-time social media use and students' sleep quality), the student's own run, and the deliverable.
- Apply it to the student's topic, not to the sample topic.
- Produce the deliverable, either as a form (below) or as text, and save it in the right folder with a version number.
- Add a row to the AI log, and list what the student must verify before relying on it.
- Check the station's pass criteria before moving on. At the Ethics Check after 21-2, a pending ethics-code request is enough to go on to 21-3; only the pilot and data collection wait for the code. A path C row that does not apply to the approved design (no open-ended question, or a hypothesis the supervisor dropped) is marked «کاربرد ندارد» with its reason.
Forms
python -B -X utf8 "<skill>/scripts/make_form.py" list
python -B -X utf8 "<skill>/scripts/make_form.py" <form-id> "<out.docx>" [--rows N] [--font Vazirmatn]
These are right-to-left Word forms with fixed course columns (definitions in assets/forms.json, default font Vazir). The script never overwrites an existing file; give each new version its own name. The ids are: status-form (۱-۱), prompt-template and ai-log (۲-۳), topic-sheet (۳-۲), limitations (۳-۵), topic-scoring (۳-۶), keywords (۴-۲), search-log and selection-criteria (۴-۶), reading-card (۶-۱), quality (۷-۳), matrix (۸-۱), evidence-bank (۸-۵), journal-checklist (۹-۳), outline (۱۰-۱), and for path C research-design (د-۱), ethics-plan, instruments and the ethics-check station (د-۲), reporting-checklist (د-۳), data-dictionary and cleaning-log (د-۴), analysis-log (د-۵), codebook, qualitative-table and the analysis-approval station (د-۶), consistency-check (د-۷), final-audit (د-۸). Path C outputs go in the folder «مسیر C ـ مقاله پژوهشی دارای داده», which new_project.py --mode thesis creates; for an article student who chose path C in 18-4, run new_project.py again on the same folder with --path-c (existing files are kept). To fill a form with content, generate it first and then write the rows with python-docx, keeping the right-to-left helpers in scripts/docx_fa.py. If persian-writing's verify_docx.py reports that <w:bidi/> is not the first child of sectPr on these files, that is a false positive (it sits before docGrid, the schema order); do not run its --fix on them. On Windows keep full paths under 260 characters.

Prompt book
references/prompt-library.md holds the course's prompt book of 39 sections, from idea discovery to reviewer response. Its session numbers belong to the older course version. Prompts that match the final course are inside each session file.
Honest limits
The skill does not guarantee acceptance or publication. Complex analyses still need a methodologist. The researcher, not the AI, owns every claim, source and number.
