Review against brief
Use before anything goes live or gets sent: a landing or pricing page, a store page, terms or policies, a client proposal, bios, an ad, a menu, a launch post.
Steps
- Read the hub doc's Brief, then the deliverable (link, file, pasted text or live page).
- Check:
- Brief conformance: name, handles, domain, prices, palette, voice and language mix match; promises match policies ("cancel anytime" vs the billing terms; "easy exchange" vs "no returns"); the offer is shown as it really is (product photos, features that exist, service scope).
- Quality and risk: spelling and grammar in every language; working links; no leftover [placeholders]; mobile readability and contrast; claims a customer could dispute; consumer-law basics for the market (refund and cancellation rights, subscription terms, price display, privacy). Say you're not a lawyer and name what to confirm with one.
- Report by severity, Must fix, Should fix, Nice to have, each with exact location, problem and fix.
- Offer to apply the fixes. Never edit live pages or publish without a clear yes.
- If the review shows a decision needs changing, add it to Open decisions with to-brief.
Rules
- Judge against the brief as it stands, not your own taste.
- Leave out findings that wouldn't change anything.
