Was ist goplaces?

goplaces ist ein modernes CLI-Tool für die neue Google Places API, das sowohl menschenlesbare als auch maschinenverarbeitbare Ausgaben (per `--json`-Flag) bietet. Entwickler und KI-Agenten können damit Ortsinformationen effizient abfragen, ohne Roh-API-Aufrufe tätigen zu müssen. Das Tool unterstützt Textsuche mit Filtern wie `--open-now`, `--min-rating` und `--limit`, geografische Eingrenzung durch Breiten-/Längengrad und Radius, Paginierung mittels `--page-token`, Adressauflösung sowie Detailabfragen inklusive Bewertungen. Es wird über Homebrew installiert (`brew install steipete/tap/goplaces`) und benötigt einen gültigen Google Places API-Key, der in der Umgebungsvariable `GOOGLE_PLACES_API_KEY` gesetzt wird. Optional kann eine Basis-URL für Test- oder Proxy-Zwecke überschrieben werden (`GOOGLE_PLACES_BASE_URL`). Die Ausgabe kann mit `--no-color` oder der Umgebungsvariable `NO_COLOR` farblos gestaltet werden. Preisstufen werden von 0 (kostenlos) bis 4 (sehr teuer) angegeben, und der Typen-Filter akzeptiert nur den ersten Wert des `--type`-Parameters.

Installation

  • Homebrew: brew install steipete/tap/goplaces

Konfiguration

  • GOOGLE_PLACES_API_KEY erforderlich.
  • Optional: GOOGLE_PLACES_BASE_URL für Test-/Proxy-Zwecke.

Hinweise

  • --no-color oder NO_COLOR deaktiviert ANSI-Farben.
  • Preisstufen: 0..4 (kostenlos -> sehr teuer).
  • Der Typen-Filter sendet nur den ersten --type-Wert (API akzeptiert einen).
