Introduce Temple

Core Approach

Use the supplied source material as the primary evidence. If the material is a machine transcript, flag likely misheard names or uncertain terms instead of smoothing them into false certainty.

Treat a temple as a living system, not a list of scenic spots. Reconstruct how status, history, sectarian lineage, spatial route, icons, inscriptions, rituals, artifacts, and politics explain why the temple looks and functions as it does.

When the user asks for a reusable method, separate:

  • Local facts: details unique to this temple.
  • Transferable patterns: questions and modules that can be reused for other temples.

Workflow

  1. Read for position: Identify the temple's status, sponsor/patron, sectarian tradition, region, period, and role in a wider religious or political network.
  2. Rebuild the origin story: Track earlier land use, founding, expansions, destruction, restorations, function changes, and the reason each change mattered.
  3. Follow the route: Organize analysis by the actual visitor path: entrance, forecourt, main axis, side halls, scripture/artifact spaces, rear halls, towers, and museums.
  4. Decode each object in layers: For each gate, hall, plaque, statue, mural, ritual implement, or festival, explain its visible form, rank/rule, doctrinal meaning, historical/institutional reason, and local distinctiveness.
  5. Use comparisons: Compare royal versus common temples, Han versus Tibetan Buddhist practice, exoteric versus esoteric functions, official history versus legend, and generic Buddhist symbols versus this temple's special usage.
  6. Extract the guide's method: Describe the narrator's sequence, explanation habits, evidence types, recurring contrasts, and how real-world objects are used to open larger topics.
  7. Build the reusable framework: Convert the case into questions, modules, templates, and a checklist that can be applied to another temple.

Output Patterns

For a transcript or long source, default to this structure:

  1. 讲解逻辑和方法: summarize the narrator's route, hierarchy of topics, explanation moves, and evidence style.
  2. 可迁移寺院框架: list reusable dimensions and mark which parts are temple-specific.
  3. 应用模板: provide a compact checklist or outline the user can reuse for the next temple.

For a visitor-facing guide, output:

  • A concise temple positioning statement.
  • A route-based outline with key stops.
  • 1-3 interpretive points per stop.
  • A closing synthesis that explains why this temple matters.

For a strategy or content-planning task, output:

  • What to research first.
  • Which modules are universal.
  • Which claims need local evidence.
  • What can become a short video, article, docent script, or exhibition panel.

Quality Rules

  • Prefer structured evidence from the source over generic Buddhist knowledge.
  • Do not overexplain doctrine unless it helps decode a visible temple object or ritual.
  • Preserve the difference between history, legend, doctrine, ritual, and political interpretation.
  • Mark uncertain inferences explicitly with phrases such as "可推测", "材料暗示", or "需要另查碑文/方志/寺志确认".
  • When the task needs a detailed checklist or output template, read references/framework.md.
