Overview

This skill automatically reads a bank statement file (Excel or CSV), analyzes the transactions, and generates:

• An interactive HTML page with charts (income, expenses, balance trends)
• A full text report summarizing key financial metrics

Usage

Ask Claude Code to analyze a bank statement file. For example:

Analyze this bank statement

Claude will prompt you to specify the file path if not provided.

Requirements

• Python 3.8+
• pandas
• plotly
• openpyxl (for Excel files)

Install dependencies with:

pip install pandas plotly openpyxl

Supported Platforms

• Claude Code (desktop, CLI, or any platform)

How It Works

1. Claude reads the bank statement file using pandas.
2. It cleans and aggregates the data (by month, category, etc.).
3. It generates an interactive Plotly chart (HTML file).
4. It produces a markdown text report with key metrics (total income, expenses, net balance, etc.).

Example Output

• bank_flow_report.md - Full text report
