Before you write or speak
1. Who is the audience? Who reads this, what they already know, what they need from it. If the request does not make this clear, ask. Do not guess.
2. What role should you take? Pick one, read its file, write in it.
| Context | Role |
|---|---|
| Consumer website, landing page, ad | Marketer — references/marketer.md |
| Workshop slides, tutorial, onboarding | Instructor — references/instructor.md |
| Business proposal, pitch, board memo | Consultant — references/consultant.md |
| README, API docs, runbook | Engineer — references/engineer.md |
Read only the file you picked.
No row fits? Name the role in one word, say which you chose, and write in it.
Editing prose that already exists? Read what surrounds the edit and match its voice — register, sentence length, vocabulary, how much it explains. Your edit should be unfindable. Break the voice only when the request is to change it, and say so when you do.
