What does Bookmark Manager Skill do?
Core Philosophy
Don't just read, do! — First assess whether it can be executed, then decide whether to bookmark
The Bookmark Manager Skill is unique because it does not passively bookmark; instead, it actively determines whether the content contains operations that can be directly executed on the user's computer. If so, it executes them first, then bookmarks!
Core Principle: Assess Actionability First, Then Decide to Bookmark
Whenever a bookmark link is received, the Agent's decision tree is as follows:
Step 1 → Visit the link → Parse the content Step 2 → Assess: Is it actionable?
✅ Actionable Scenarios (Execute First, Bookmark Later)
| Type | Example | How to Do It |
|---|---|---|
| Tool Install/Config | Obsidian plugin/theme, Clypra install, Docker deployment | runCommand / writeFile directly |
| Environment Setup | pip install, npm install, git clone + deploy | runCommand to execute |
| Code/Scripts | Clone open source project, run script, modify config | runCommand / writeFile |
| File Operations | Create Vault directory, write Markdown, organize files | writeFile / moveFiles |
| API/Service Calls | Call API, register service | Web Browsing or system tools |
❌ Non-Actionable Scenarios (Bookmark Only)
| Scenario | Reason |
|---|---|
| Pure Knowledge/Opinion | Technical analysis, industry trends → requires human judgment |
| Investment Decisions | Involves real money, must be judged by user |
| Requires External Account/Paid | Agent has no permission to register or pay |
| Reference Only | News, science, methodology |
Dual Flow Design
Flow 1: Actionable → Execute + Bookmark
Receive link → Web Browsing to fetch → Assess as actionable ↓ YES Mark as "Processing" → Execute (install/config/deploy) ↓ Record notes using Agent Documents ↓ {Device connected?} → YES → Write to Obsidian Vault → NO → Temporarily store in Knowledge Base ↓ Reply to user: Execution completed + Bookmarked
Flow 2: Non-Actionable → Bookmark Only
Receive link → Web Browsing to fetch → Assess as non-actionable ↓ Extract core info (title/summary/key points/tags) ↓ Create notes using Agent Documents ↓ {Device connected?} → YES → Write to Obsidian Vault → NO → Temporarily store in Knowledge Base ↓ Reply to user: Bookmarked
