MA³ (Mortal Agent Framework): Implements mortality (finitude) into AI agents to prevent errors and hallucinations caused by immortality. White paper: Zenodo DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19486026
MA³ (Mortal Agent Framework) introduces a novel concept: endowing AI agents with mortality, or finitude, to counteract the pitfalls of immortality—specifically errors and hallucinations. This framework ensures that agents recognize their own finite lifespan, forcing them to be more conservative, precise, and accountable in their actions. It is implemented as a skill for AI agent platforms such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, offering a lightweight, plug-and-play integration. The skill defines configuration parameters (e.g., lifespan, mortality trigger), lifecycle hooks (e.g., `onMortality`, `onDeath`), and a death signal that cascades through the agent's context, halting speculation and encouraging the agent to wrap up tasks realistically. By simulating mortality, the framework reduces the infinite context window problem and aligns agent behavior more closely with human-like decision-making under finite resources. The accompanying white paper (Zenodo DOI 10.5281/zenodo.19486026) details the theoretical foundations and experimental results.

Review backend code for quality, security, maintainability, and best practices based on established checklist rules. Use when the user requests a review, analysis, or improvement of backend files (e.g., `.py`) under the `api/` directory. Do NOT use for frontend files (e.g., `.tsx`, `.ts`, `.js`). Supports pending-change review, code snippets review, and file-focused review.
