Vibe Film

A philosophy-driven 'no-voiceover knowledge mood film' production pipeline: 2-4 min, 16:9 landscape, no human voice, Chinese primary subtitles with English translation on screen. Entirely code-rendered (Canvas/Three.js route + seek(t) deterministic rendering + Playwright frame extraction + ffmpeg). It differs from similar skills in the content layer: a five-question topic gate (won't greenlight if you can't write 'Dedicated to everyone who ___'), a nine-column motion script-level shot breakdown (no one-sentence intent allowed), reverse benchmarking before code, contract-based screenshot generation for parallel segments, programmatic density checks, and impact frame alignment. Validated with a 90s first run and a 135s final film. Use when the user says 'make a vibe knowledge film / no-voiceover knowledge short film,' gives a concept to turn into a mood film, or requests a 'philosophy-driven knowledge animation.' Not suitable for voiceover explainers, editing existing footage, or predominantly live-action shots.

What is Vibe Film?

Vibe Film is a specialized AI agent skill for producing 2-4 minute, 16:9 horizontal, voiceover-free knowledge mood films with bilingual subtitles (Chinese primary + English translation) rendered entirely by code—using Canvas/Three.js, seek(t) deterministic rendering, Playwright frame extraction, and ffmpeg assembly. It distinguishes itself from similar tools by enforcing a rigorous content pipeline: a 'five-question topic gate' that prevents projects without a clear emotional hook, a nine-column shot-by-shot storyboard that bans vague single-sentence intent, and mandatory reverse benchmarking of reference frames before any code is written. The workflow emphasizes human-in-the-loop quality gates at critical, expensive-to-revert stages (storyboard approval, BGM demo, style frames+ability demo clips), while automating technical checks (storyboard validation, build verification, audio loudness) to catch errors early. Each segment is rendered with contract-based screenshots for parallel code execution, followed by multi-round self-checks against a density checklist. The final assembly includes programmatic technical checks (framerate, duration, black frames, loudness) and a structured human review before delivery, with a strict 'publish only on explicit user confirmation' rule that applies across all tools. This skill is ideal for producing polished, cinematic knowledge shorts on philosophical or conceptual topics without voiceover, but is contraindicated for tutorial screencasts, live-action footage, or single-shot explainers. It is designed for repeated use and continual improvement through field notes and reference updates.

What does Vibe Film do?

Turn a "hardcore concept × the thing you think about at night" into a no-voiceover knowledge mood short film: viewers read bilingual subtitles, watch the scene act out the sentence, and end with a line that hits — "Dedicated to everyone who __".

Division of labor: Human’s job = topic gate + shot-by-shot table + direction approval (BGM demo / style frames / ability demo samples) + sign-off. Model’s job = reverse benchmarking + code + render + self-check and rework. Approval items follow rework cost: expensive and hard-to-revert items must be gated (storyboard / style frames / demo / BGM / publish). Programmatically checkable items don’t require human review (technical checks / intra-segment self-checks). Quality comes from storyboard specs and approval gates, not from model improvisation.

Where good films come from: three layers of content density, word-by-word subtitle rhythm, a manually calculable number, audiovisual alignment — but exactly how it moves and how much is decided by the storyboard and emotional arc. The density baseline (storyboard.md) is the floor, locked in. Technique density and variation are the ceiling, open. Everything beyond the baseline is the model’s starting point, not its limit.

Applicability

What the user wantsUse this?
No-voiceover knowledge mood film (concept × emotion, bilingual subtitles, music only)✅
"2AM–vibe" short film on philosophy/science concepts✅
Voiceover explainer, line-by-line teaching, tutorial screencast❌ Voiceover pipeline (TTS)‑driven
Editing/mixing existing footage❌
Predominantly live‑action footage (>50% real/photo‑real feel)❌ Hybrid route (generated assets + code animation), needs discussion

Duration: 90–135s per project (1–4 segments, each ≤45s). 2:40+ extends via 4‑segment scheme. Vertical format not supported (composition natively horizontal).

Model Strengths and Default Pitfalls

  • Strengths: Zero engineering failures under spec‑driven long prompts (tested: four‑segment sub‑agent had zero structural rework); frame‑by‑frame deterministic rendering; can work for extended periods on “render static frame → review → modify”; reliable visual detail execution within the nine‑column constraint.
  • Default pitfalls: When given only a one‑sentence shot intent, the scene falls into a “moving PPT” with a single subject and changing subtitles; without reference frames, aesthetic quality lacks an anchor; free‑form generat...
